We’ve got some big news to share, and while it’s a big change, we think you’ll be just as excited as we are. After a meaningful journey as Second Season Coffee Company, we’re closing our doors on this particular season—but this isn’t a goodbye. Instead, it’s the start of something even better: a new chapter with a new roasting company, REVIVAL COFFEE ROASTERY.
Here’s the scoop: Second Season launched in May 2023, born out of a rich legacy from Brown Coffee Company, which spent 17 years setting the standard for specialty coffee in San Antonio. Like so many businesses, we faced incredible challenges during the last few years. But rather than give up, we got creative—moving our operations to the welcoming town of Marshall, Texas, with the incredible support of our long-time friends at Joe Pine Coffee.
Now, that relationship has come full circle as Joe Pine has acquired Second Season’s equipment, staff, and facilities. Together, we’re blending our strengths to create REVIVAL COFFEE ROASTERY, a new concept that builds on the passion, quality, and care you’ve come to know and love. We’re thrilled to have Taylor Cullinane, our experienced Roasting Operations Director, leading the charge at Revival. And don’t worry—the commitment to sourcing the world’s finest coffees and honoring our producer relationships remains at the heart of this new venture.
We know this is a lot to take in, but we want you to know how much we value your trust and support. With REVIVAL COFFEE ROASTERY, the same foundations that Brown and Second Season built are carrying forward into an even brighter future. We couldn’t have done any of this without the generosity and encouragement from Joe Pine Coffee, and we have no doubt they’ll lead REVIVAL with the same care and excellence you’ve come to expect as a loyal Brown/Second Season fan.
So…what should you expect? Expect to receive an email coming from Revival very soon. Expect to have as seamless a transition as possible in ordering from Second Season to Revival: same amazing coffees for your home, business, church, event, etc.; same ordering and turnaround times; same everything, really, but the name. If you’re a subscriber, you may need to change your payment permissions to allow Revival to continue serving you. We hope you will let Revival continue serving you! Your secure payments for Brown and Second Season coffee will cease in the next few days. The team at Revival will be in touch very soon. Give them the love you’ve given Brown and Second Season and they’ll love you back with great coffee and great service.
